Do you hear that thunder? that’s the sound of a huge IDLES announcement. Following the release of IDLES’ new single ‘Model Village’, and their highly anticipated new album ‘Ultra Mono’ out on the 25 th September, today, IDLES announced that in May and June 2021, the band will be going back out on tour. IDLES’ tour will see them playing 11 nights across the UK and Ireland, with back to back dates at Dublin Vicar Street, and London’s o2 Academy Brixton. These will be noisy and are not ones to be missed...
A large part of IDLES’ rise to fame, aside from the copious amounts of hard work, can be credited to their high intensity live shows. They can be considered one of the best live bands currently in the music industry, going from strength to strength each time they play live.
Having played incredible sets from the likes of The Bataclan in Paris, to filling up fields at Glastonbury, only when you see IDLES live can you truly appreciate how far this band have come.
If the announcement of a live tour, and a new album on the horizon wasn’t enough, IDLES also have another trick up their sleeves. In preparation for the release of their new album, IDLES will be live streaming performances from the prestigious Abbey Road studios on the 29th and 30th of August, just to give us a taste for what’s to come in 2021.
In typical IDLES fashion, they always put their fans first. Because of this there will be a limited number of free tickets for key workers to say thanks.
Tickets will go on sale Friday 28th August at 10am BST, and you can pre-order the album from idlesband.com.
