‘Morning Light’ leads the way towards Fuzzy Sun’s upcoming EP

Fuzzy Sun have kicked off their forthcoming EP with their latest single ‘Morning Light’, which remains grounded in their alt-pop/rock style with an uplifting sound and enticing message behind the music.

The band began their musical debut in 2018 with an EP ‘Want Love’ and performances at festivals such as Liverpool Sound City and Neighbourhood.

More recently, after stepping further into the spotlight, they were able to play shows alongside other indie stars such as Two Door Cinema Club, Inhaler and John Myrtle.

Upon the release of ‘Morning Light’, Fuzzy Sun expressed the inspiration behind the song via their website: “The song is about feeling lost in the world and at the same time losing a part of yourself whilst trying to figure a way out of your own mental labyrinth.”

Aside from being a catchy tune, it’s obvious that there is a much deeper meaning to these lyrics – portraying the feeling of being lost in your own head and the resulting frustration.  “We’re living just to die / So hear me out / I need something more to save me / There’s no meaning” – it’s highly inspiring but also incredibly thought provoking.

‘Morning Light’ feeds on a sense of noughties alt-pop, resembling in particular the English band Mumm-Ra. It’s fresh, yet also holds a sense of nostalgia which goes to show the incredible talent that Fuzzy Sun possesses – to be able to capture two polar opposite feelings in just a matter of minutes.

This recent single is just a teaser for the latest EP, ‘Since The Dog Died’ coming in November 2021. There is also an added bonus for British Fuzzy Sun fans – come December, their live shows are back starting at The Jacaranda in Liverpool.
