The Kooks release straight shooting latest single ‘Jesse James’

British Indie-pop royalty The Kooks release the latest single from their forthcoming album ’10 Tracks to Echo in the Dark’, the spacey ‘Jesse James’. This new album will be their sixth full-length studio release and will be dropping on June 22nd, just in time to fulfil the British public’s annual need for summer indie-pop bangers.

After an extensive tour in 2018 to promote their LP 'Let's Go Sunshine', the Brighton boys took a well-earned break to focus on life outside of the band. The Kooks are now well and truly back, following a UK-wide, sold-out tour throughout January and February that celebrated the 15th anniversary of their universally acclaimed debut album ‘Inside In/Inside Out’.

Jesse James’ thematically follows on from their two previous releases of this year ‘Modern Days’  and ‘Connection’. This latest cut features spacey guitar, well-placed synths and a strong, punchy bass guitar. Driven by an 80-s inspired, pop-y drum machine, lead singer Luke Prichard’s signature vocals marry perfectly with the instrumental. The visuals that accompany the track also conform with the ‘space’ theme that the boys are seemingly going ahead with for this latest album. It seems that this latest LP may be the Kooks’ very own ‘Tranquillity Base Hotel & Casino’, and we are very much here for it.
