P!nk Dominates the dancefloor with new single ‘Never Gonna Not Dance Again’

Having immortalised her rebellious confidence and vocal ability in the music industry across a discography spanning over two decades, singer-songwriter P!nk has released the track and music video for ‘Never Gonna Not Dance Again’. Capturing the free-spirited nature of dancing and not taking yourself too seriously, the quasi-discotheque track is a celebration of 70s glamour, fused with the upbeat optimism of contemporary pop music. 

Enriched with electro-dance tones, the track pays homage to its disco roots by referencing “I want my life to be a Whitney Houston song / (I wanna dance)”. Notably, the single interpolates the late cultural icon’s record ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)’, amplifying the catchy tempo and providing a new twist on the much-loved classic. 

Within the newly released music video, P!nk can be seen skating across the aisles of a supermarket to encourage those around her to dance, echoing the contagious happiness that occurs from listening to the lyrics: “’Cause, oh, one thing I’m never gonna do / Is throw away my dancing shoes”. Throughout the video, this sentiment is rejoiced as all of the characters dance together, further emphasising the vibrant themes of unity and partying.

‘Never Gonna Not Dance Again’ and ‘Irrelevant’ tease the singer's ninth studio album, anticipated to hit the charts during 2023 alongside the European leg of the P!nk Summer Carnival Tour.
