‘Nothing Right’, is the second single from the upcoming album ‘The Scapegoat’s Agony’ from the German band, Coma Beach. ‘Nothing Right’ is an ominous-sounding allusion that explores an existentialist view of the world and its utter meaninglessness through punk rock renovation.
Coma Beach is a band from Würzburg, Germany that uses English lyricism, showing influences from Sex Pistols and Ramones, ‘Nothing Right’ is a track that perfectly shows off their ability to merge punk that steps right out of the 1970s with a modern alternative rock twist that separates it from other releases.
‘Nothing Right’ takes listeners on an intense, off-the-heart journey with a baleful anti-hero, told through a simple structure of four guitar chords that are long and drawn out with a heavy distortion in a fast-flowing and aggressive manner that embodies the attitude of Joey Ramone.
Lead singer B. Kafka’s vocals are truculent, and add a level of defiance to the track, reflecting a punk-like screech similar to Johnny Rotten that gives ‘Nothing Right’ a burst of energy and alongside the heavy, hard-hitting drums and infectious bassline adds depth and intensity that will have listeners on the edge of their seats.
Coma Beach proves they are innovators of their craft. ‘Nothing Right’ is an impeccable and highly addictive track that perfectly blurs the lines between the old-school punk attitude of the 70s with alternative rock progressions.
