FIZZ Release Dreamy New Single ‘You, Me, Lonely’

Quietly cute and subtly clever, ‘You, Me, Lonely’ is the latest single by the band FIZZ, which is comprised of friends and creatives Dodie, Martin Luke Brown, Orla Gartland and Greta Isaac.

Coming in at just over three minutes and 30 seconds long, this latest single has a very minimalistic setup, mostly focused around a misty acoustic guitar and gentle, waltzing drums.

Reflective and calming, the lead vocal is handled by Dodie, as she paints a rather somber picture of missing a now soon to be ex-lover, and trying to cope with both life, and the future without them. The phrase “You, me, lonely” is repeated a number of times throughout the cut, emphasising the gut-punching feeling of finally realising that you are going to be all alone.

The backing vocals bring some depth to the minimalistic mix, and chime in during key points of the single, especially around the chorus creating emphasis and emotion. The song builds as it goes on, a light smattering of piano brings in some texture towards the end, before the drums are increased with a big crescendo finish.

FIZZ will be embarking on their debut headline tour in February of next year, playing 9 shows in total, including one at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire. This new single will be one fans will be screaming out from the first note.
