The Streets Tease What’s To Come On Their New Album With Latest Single ‘Each Day Gives’

'Each Day Gives', the latest single from UK legends The Streets is only a glimpse into the masterpiece that is sure to follow from their upcoming 6th studio album. 'The Darker The Shadow, The Brighter The Light', and accompanying feature film, are set for release on October 20th.

Each Day Gives’ details the mundane realities of life and carries the message that when you get knocked down, you have to pick yourself back up. This theme is reflected in the repetitive lyrics of “Each day gives and each day takes”, which is paired with the soundtrack of an electronic yet tranquil beat. The track feels like The Streets’ early work, showing their style is truly timeless.

According to Mike Skinner, the brains behind The Streets, ‘Each Day Gives’ was written with his feature-length film in mind and comes at a point where the characters are facing a dilemma. The film, which shares the same name as the album, is said to be a noir murder mystery set in London and is a project that Skinner has been working on for many years.

The single was accompanied by two previous releases: ‘Too Much Yayo’ and ‘Troubled Waters’, which both follow the same themes and were also written to fit the film. Both have received a positive reaction, generating much excitement for The Streets' latest full-length offering.
