The British fourpiece indie band The K’s are back with a powerful and poignant track called ‘Heart On My Sleeve’.
This track lands shortly before the release of the band’s debut album ‘I Wonder If The World Knows?’ which is set for release on 22nd March.
The guys have drawn inspiration from the likes of Franz Ferdinand, The Kooks, and Arctic Monkeys who ignited the early noughties with ‘I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor’.
The song begins instantly with a brief guitar riff before the drums enter to drive the song, keep the tempo fast, and the dynamics high from start to finish. Their latest single also oozes emotion and grabs its audience’s attention with lyrics such as “I’ll never be human, and I’ll never be sane / So I’ll keep taking substance to numb all the pain”.
This record is packed with raw emotion and is guaranteed to resonate and become quite significant to those who happen to stumble upon this gem. The track ends suddenly after three minutes of guitar-slamming and beat-blasting that leaves its audience gasping for air and in the mood for much more.
‘Heart On My Sleeve’ has already been well-received by their growing fanbase and they’ve recently made an appearance on Jack Saunder’s ‘Future Artists’ Show’ on BBC Radio 1 so be sure to listen out for these guys over the New Year and beyond.
