Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends On ‘Summer Kisses, Winter Tears’

Originating from the band Redmoon in Stockholm, Sweeden Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends formed in the summer of 2020 have since ignited a deep introspection across a spectrum of subjects, fusing elements of pop and rock anthems to craft a vintage, rockabilly style infused with a contemporary twist.

Their most recent release is a reinterpretation of the 1960 Elvis Presley classic ‘Summer Kisses, Winter Tears.’ In this rendition, where they explore the heartfelt resonance of the original whilst reimagining the song, adding in a standard guitar with delicate picking that initially, drastically slows down the track when compared to the original thus transforming it into a touching melody that oozes with sentiment.

Arn-identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends harness this leisurely tempo, building it as a foundation, and subsequently enhancing it by experimenting with tempo and rhythm. They elegantly incorporate additional stringed instruments and a prominent synth, infusing the track with elevated emotional resonance against a delightful, melodious backdrop.

In ‘Summer Kisses, Winter Tears’' Arn-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends showcase their musical prowess by integrating their diverse elements to craft a seemingly straightforward composition. Yet, offering a deeper examination of ‘Summer Kisses, Winter Tears’ and attentiveness to their performance reveals a remarkably intricate, emotive piece that deeply resonates with and honours its 1960s counterpart.
