Blossoms Unveil 'Perfect Me'

Blossoms have today revealed their brand-new single 'Perfect Me' and its accompanying video, directed by previous collaborator James Slater (Sam Fender, Jamie T, Yard Act) who directed Blossoms’ video for 'Your Girlfriend'.

Speaking about 'Perfect Me', Blossoms’ Tom Ogden says: "'Perfect Me' wasn’t done in the normal way we make songs. Normally I write the song at home and then bring it to the lads. We just made this one from nothing. We had a synth sequence and built it up from scratch in the studio. The spontaneity of it resulted in it having a lot of energy. It’s about this perfect being that doesn’t exist."

Blossoms’ new album is produced by the band’s regular collaborator James Skelly of The Coral, alongside Jungle’s Josh-Lloyd Watson, who produced ‘What Can I Say After I’m Sorry?’ and ‘Nightclub’. CMAT has also co-written two tracks on the album, 'I Like Your Look' and 'Why Do I Give You The Worst Of Me?'.

Blossoms are supporting Tom Grennan at Gunnersbury Park on 10 August, before the band’s biggest headline gig to date at Wythenshawe Park, Manchester on Sunday 25 August. 

Since forming in 2013, Blossoms have enjoyed widespread success and acclaim. Their 2016 debut ‘Blossoms’ topped the album charts for two consecutive weeks and went on to earn the band BRIT Award and Mercury Prize nominations, while 2018’s ‘Cool Like You’ charted at Number 4 in the UK album chart.

Blossoms’ new single 'Perfect Me' is out now and the band’s new album ‘Gary’ is out on 20 September.
