Hauspoints Release the Infectious 'Hear No, See No'

The self-proclaimed group of lads from Chorley that "should know better", Hauspoints are delivering fresh rock with a twist of alternative-pop that makes for infectious listening. Hailing from Lancashire, their latest single release, 'Hear No, See No', is plucked from their debut record 'Eel Feeling', which was recorded in a caffeine-fuelled three day studio stint.

Despite being a relatively new band - their first release ('Dead Frog Road' / 'Crisis Actor') being unveiled just last year - the members aren't new to the music scene - Hauspoints is a wicked, punk-infused culmination of a handful of other projects, some brilliant and highly successful, others, unlistenable failures.

The first track off the album, 'Here No, See No' dabbles in socio-political commentaries, asking "can intellectual property be owned?". Despite the honest confession of not being brushed up on copyright laws and the such, Hauspoints drive their message home with buoyant instrumentation and instistent vocals. At just under the four minute mark, this latest release, reminiscent of punk-rock-adjacent outfits such as IDLES and Yard Act,  is an impressive high-energy follow on from the electronic-intonations of their 2023 EP 'Total Diversion'.

Talking on the upcoming record, Hauspoints note; "The perspective lyrically has always been written through a Northern lens of bemusement at the absurdity of modern human existence, and not without a sense of wry humour."

Hauspoints are set to perform at the fifth edition of The Ferret's Whingefest this weekend, alongisde punk headliners Whinge, The Battery Farm, Oorya and more.
