Australian post-punkers Radio Free Alice (RFA) release their new track ‘Johnny’ from their forthcoming second EP ‘Polyester’ to be released in August.
With an unforgettable unique sound, the exceptional Naarm/Melbourne band have been showcasing their beautifully emotional discography around the world and most recently on their EU/UK tour creating more suspense for new music from the rising alternative quintet.
In all of RFA’s records, they have managed to create a personal exclusive sound with powerful 80s inspired vocals and creative guitar riffs mixed with the occasional saxophone leaving the listener hooked. In this latest Radio Free Alice release, every single instrument and member of the band gets to showcase their incredible talent which results in this punchy, scrappy, yet emotional sounding record that only Radio Free Alice could create. The intensity of a Radio Free Alice gig shines in this single too as the beautiful chaos of the different rhythms and instruments being played reflect their intense and personal live sound and performance perfectly.
The vocals on ‘Johnny’ sound like it could be from an unreleased track by The Smiths in 1984, which when combined with experimental alternative noise taking inspiration from bands such as highschool, the band create the perfect Radio Free Alice sound that is rocking the post-punk scene.
