Ella Eyre’s ‘domino szn’ Isn’t Falling Anytime Soon

Much like Ella Eyre sings in the pre-chorus, her new track is “So nice, so nice, so nice, so nice”.

The ‘Came Here For Love’ singer has ventured into Scandinavia for the production on this track, with Albin Tengblad and Simon Jonasson both based in Stockholm. This Swedish duo have created a melody which Eyre builds off effortlessly - the instrumental may not be complex but the minimalism is what makes it so right.

Twenty seconds in, the first drum beat hits and it catapaults you back to the first day of summer.  The keys are bouncy, the bass is warm and Eyre’s soulful “oooh”s and “aaah”s feels like the sun kissing your rosy-red cheeks. Why can’t everyday be ‘domino szn’?

Not only is the newest single from the UK artist brilliant in itself, it’s also part of a string of singles from the artist’s new album which will be released independently. The Ealing-raised singer took to social media to write about how this release is so much more special to her than any other. That’s because the making of this summer tune was faster than any other musical process in her whole career, taking only two months from writing-to-releasing with no interference.

Ella Eyre has been a force to be reckoned with in the industry since 2012 and now with no one to tie her down, expect her face and sound to pop up more frequently in your new music discovery. After her string of singles this year and a sophomore album expected to be released in the future, it’s safe to say this newest number will intrigue fans and casual listeners alike.

So if you have just under four minutes to spare, you’ve now just found the ideal way to pass that time!
