A truly unique band bringing new sounds to the post-punk scene; Gurriers have released the highly anticipated track ‘Top Of The Bill’ after making this a firm favourite on their setlists for their epic live gigs.
The blossoming progressive punk quintet from Ireland have been breaking boundaries with their modern world sounds creating varying emotions in every record they produce.
‘Top Of The Bill’ is a slower sound than what we are used to with Gurriers but they still manage to generate a profound, siren filled track packed full of dreamy yet scratchy guitar noise and powerful lyrics. The ever-changing rhythms and pitches of the track give the song a story like atmosphere as it takes you on a journey of post punk perfection with slow, rocky starts to passionate endings.
The muffled, war sounding vocals from Dan Hoff thrive intensely in the noisy environment that is ‘Top Of The Bill’. This slower paced track allows the listener to explore every element that makes Gurriers, from the looming drums and symbols to the impressive echoes of the guitars creating a sound that shows inspiration from fellow Irish post punkers Fontaines D.C.
Gurriers are spreading their beautifully unique post punk sounds around the EU and UK this autumn as they embark on one of their biggest tours yet to coincide with the impressively brilliant big sounds they create and master.
