Charli XCX Reimagines ‘Talk talk’ In Explosive New Remix Featuring Troye Sivan

Charli XCX is back with a fresh, electrifying remix of ‘Talk talk’ featuring Troye Sivan, a track set to appear on ‘brat and it’s completely different but also still brat’, a forthcoming reimagined version of her latest album.

Slated for release on October 11th via Atlantic Records, this new project promises to reinvent her critically acclaimed album while maintaining its original essence—and the latest remix offers a tantalising glimpse into this bold sonic shift.

The ‘Talk talk’ remix takes a sharp left turn from the original, which was produced by A.G. Cook and Hudson Mohawke. In this revamped version, the incandescent hook of the original is entirely discarded in favour of a pulsating house beat, transforming it into a club-ready anthem. Dua Lipa’s sultry murmurs in French and Spanish set the tone in the intro, while Troye Sivan brings a seductive energy that drives the track. The remix also boasts additional production credits from Zhone, Styalz Fuego, and NOVODOR, further elevating its hard-hitting, euphoric vibe.

What’s particularly striking about this reworking is how it strips away the vulnerability of the original ‘Talk talk’, replacing it with a raw, unabashed celebration of physical desire. The remix is unapologetically about living in the moment, casting aside the emotional tension for a more hedonistic and liberated feel. The seamless blend of house and pop elements ensures the track feels fresh and irresistible, even if it ventures far from the more introspective nature of the original.

If ‘Talk talk’ is any indication of what’s to come, fans can expect a wildly experimental yet quintessentially Charli experience from her upcoming release.
