An Evening Of Euphoria - Stevie Bill Takes The Spotlight At Omeara

The excitement was substantially high at Omeara whilst waiting for Stevie Bill to come on stage for her electrifying set.

First up was the support act, Erica Manzoli, whose soft, mellow sound was a fitting introduction to Stevie Bill's style. Although Erica is relatively new to the scene, having released her debut track, ‘My Best Friend Is My Therapist’, in 2022, she had the audience captivated throughout her entire set. Her second song, ‘The Stages of Grief’, featured heartfelt melodies and soulful tones, with the lyric "I've found a friend in the stages of grief" standing out. Erica’s setup was minimalist, featuring just her piano and a guitarist accompanying her on select songs. The simple lighting design kept the focus entirely on the music, it also fit in well with the intimate, slow-paced melodies which enhanced the overall atmosphere.

During the set, there was a heart-warming fan interaction. A girl in the crowd was on FaceTime with her friend, and Erica noticed. Recognising the fan, she pointed out that she knew the girl was calling all the way from Thailand, making the moment even more special.

By the end of her set, Erica had clearly won over the crowd, as many fans were searching for her on Instagram and Spotify to follow her. One girl asked for the setlist, wanting to remember "my new favourite song". Erica’s performance had truly made an impression.

When Stevie took the stage, the crowd erupted in screams. She kicked off the night with ‘Amsterdam’, instantly lighting up the audience's energy. Throughout the set, Stevie performed songs from across her EPs, with ‘Good Luck To Your New Girlfriend' being a clear fan favourite, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

After five songs there was an interlude. The stage went completely dark, and a pre-recorded speech from Stevie began playing, which addressed her mental health, experience with panic attacks, and being pulled out of her comfort zone. During this moment, Stevie was backstage for an outfit change, swapping her tailored shorts and suit jacket for a flowing white skirt and a pink, silky, long-sleeved corset.

Before performing ‘Hurts To Hold On’, Stevie asked the crowd if anyone was going through a breakup; when a girl standing alone said yes, Stevie handed her roses which is a tradition at her shows and offered her words of encouragement: "I hope you know how strong you are." Throughout the song, Stevie sang directly to her, creating a personal connection in which the fan will remember forever.

There were two covers during this show ‘Good Luck, Babe’ by Chappell Roan and ‘Once In A Lifetime’ by Talking Heads. She explained that she chose Once In A Lifetime because of her move from Amsterdam to New York, making the song deeply personal and meaningful to her - perfect for tour.

The live performance of these songs was incredible, and Stevie's vocals were even more breath-taking in person. Jacob Geoffrey (Guitarist) delivered an outstanding performance on the selected tracks.

Overall, it was a euphoric night, with the crowd fully engaged throughout the entire show, maintaining excitement that filled the air.
