Bradley Simpson’s ‘Carpet Burn’: An Anthem of Reflection

Bradley Simpson has just released his sentimental new single, ‘Carpet Burn’, from his upcoming debut album ‘The Panic Years’, set to be released on February 28th via Insanity Records. 

The track offers a final glimpse of the album and fans are already hooked; it’s inevitably many fans’ favourite, including Bradley himself.

This single has been teased online since March last year and fans have been eagerly waiting for its release. Bradley has been playing this song live to audiences and before it was even released, there wasn’t a single person who didn’t know the lyrics. ‘Carpet Burn’ has sparked a wave of excitement and anticipation from fans, since it first appeared in the setlist during the previous tour. ‘Carpet Burn’ delves into themes of young love and longing to have met someone earlier in life.

The track highlights an evolution in Simpson’s music, ranging from his early days with The Vamps, to his debut single, ‘Cry at the Moon’. It also carries clear influences of New York, where the song was written.

His heartfelt vocals perfectly capture the emotional lyricism, showing a more vulnerable side: “I'll take every moment I get but it gets me down that I didn’t know you before we met”.
