Franz Ferdinand Deliver Catchy New Single Amidst Band's Bold Return

Indie legends Franz Ferdinand have delivered another catchy track titled 'Hooked'. The Scottish band exploded in popularity with their break-out hit 'Take Me Out' back in 2004, quickly securing themselves as British icons.

The momentum has since continued for the group, with an impressive discography spanning over twenty years.

An electronic undertone and powerful synthesizer glue the single together throughout its runtime of 2:41. Captivating lyrics help to create an interesting vision of the story being told which tackles themes of love. The line "I thought I knew what love was/And then I met you" is sure to form a clear picture in the listener's mind. Singer, Alex Kapranos' vocal style helps to enforce the powerful bassline of the single and ground the sound with tactical producing.

Audrey Tait provides a powerful drumbeat that blends nicely into the mix. Tait has only been a member of the group since the departure of previous drummer Paul Thompson back in 2021, yet her impact is felt as she is able to produce a commendable level of chemistry with her bandmates. This track perfectly demonstrates this as has a level of cohesion that can take years to perfect.

'Hooked' is the third single from the new album, 'The Human Fear', a new addition to a notable back catalogue of records. Additionally, Franz Ferdinand will be embarking on the European leg of their tour with dates booked from February through to August. Tickets are still available for the majority of dates on the group's website.
