Metal Giants Come Together For Black Sabbath And Ozzy Osbourne's Farewell Gig

Black Sabbath's final show has been announced at Villa Park this July in the band's hometown of Aston, Birmingham. Ozzy Osbourne and the band are joined by a star-studded line-up of metal acts featuring Metallica, Slayer and Pantera.

The concert, which is set to take place on 5th July 2025, will be the final show for the original line-up of the iconic heavy metal band. The band consists of Osbourne, along with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward. This live appearance will be their first together in over twenty years, making it a monumental gig for fans of the group. The show has been billed as Back to the Beginning and is sure to pay homage to the city that helped to shape the band and the future of the genre.

As well as the headliners, the line-up features some of the biggest names in current metal and rock music. Metal giants Metallica and Slayer are joined by the likes of grunge legends Alice in Chains and death/groove metal group Gojira who won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance at the recent 2025 awards. If this wasn't enough to excite fans, there is a selection of additional performances that feature artists such as Fred Durst from nu-metal group Limp Bizkit and guitar icon Slash.

The announcement comes after years of speculation surrounding the potential for Ozzy to perform again following his return to England with wife Sharon Osbourne. The prospect of a final performance for the man who is no doubt metal royalty has been unsure as he has faced recent health difficulties including battling Parkinson's disease.

Tickets go on sale at 10 am on Friday 14 February here. The profits will be donated to four charities equally, which support children's hospitals and Parkinson's sufferers respectively. For fans of metal and classic rock, this live show is sure to be an event that cannot be missed.
