Soft Launch Add Funky ‘Milkshakes’ To Host Of New Singles Released This Year

Featuring groovy basslines, shiny guitar tones and impressive vocals, ‘Milkshakes’ is a smooth, refreshing release by Anglo-Irish pop five-piece Soft Launch. This latest single is a stylistic extenuation of their previous releases this year, and features similar spacey, high-pace sounds, keeping the summer feels going into chilly Autumn.

The chorus is vibrant and catchy, and the verses help build up the tension towards the funky bridge. Produced by Spike Stent, the track has a very analogue feel, and is sonically well balanced. The punchy bass is the star of the show, and is allowed to fluidly riff throughout the three minute and 17 second track.

Launched ahead of their first headline tour which started in Dublin last week, this latest cut is a brilliant taste of Soft Launch’s unique sound and will fit into a live set well. ‘Milkshakes’ is the band’s fourth single released this year, and follows ‘In My Bed’‘Piano Hands’ and ‘Cartwheels’.

Their current tour runs until December and features stops in the UK as well as a trip down under, stopping in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Having recently played some big festival sets over summer such as at Reading and Leeds, it seems Soft Launch’s singular, catchy and well-polished sound is putting them on a very quick ascendancy towards the top, with this latest release clearly another reason as to why.
