Featuring Doja Cat and RAYE, the track is taken from her upcoming studio debut album called 'Alter Ego' which is expected to be released on the 26th of February 2025. The album name itself is self-explanatory as it gives listeners the room to observe the different sides of Lisa as a solo artist.
The track teaser "To be born again, baby, to be born again" was posted by Lisa on her socials, which has made the trio’s listeners excited to hear the track. Since the release, fans of Lisa, Doja Cat and RAYE have been amazed by this unexpected and refreshing collaboration.
From the start of the track, you can hear RAYE’s vocal harmonies which seamlessly transition into Lisa’s vocals with the piano keys as the accompaniment. Then the track kicks in with a disco beat which has layers of violins, bass and pianos. The beat instantly reminds me of 'Night Fever' by Bee Gees, and is sure to get listeners lost in the groove of the beat on the dancefloor.
Doja Cat’s vocals and rap verses are reminiscent of her track 'Say So' from the ‘Hot Pink’ album. RAYE’s vocals are also amazing on the track and it is a pleasure to hear her harmonising with Lisa too.
This single is very nostalgic and it shows Lisa’s versatility as an artist. This collaboration emphasises Lisa, Doja Cat, and RAYE’s own personal styles and creative flair.
