Seven Questions With Livvy K

Hailing from Manchester, vivacious pop princess Livvy K has carved our her corner on the music scene with infectious cuts and rarely matched high-octane energy.

Having recently released her debut EP, Livvy K divulges the process behind 'Finally Free, Finally Me', her work with Youth Music and her "desert island" picks as part of the Seven Questions with Music Is To Blame Series.

Introduce yourself and where you’re from.

I’m Livvy K! A 23-year-old independent, multi-genre music artist originally from Scarisbrick, Lancashire—now making waves in Manchester’s vibrant music scene for the past three years.

Creativity fuels everything I do, and music is my ultimate playground. Blending pop, R&B, dance, and experimental sounds, I love to push boundaries and keep my fans guessing. Expect infectious hooks, but always with a twist. Performing on stage is where I truly come alive—I thrive on the energy of a crowd and the magic of live music.

I want my music to make you feel—every emotion, every high, every low—because that’s what it’s all about. Get ready for the unexpected.

What do our readers need to know about you?

I’m coming in HOT! I may be new to the scene, but when it comes to writing playlist-worthy, radio-ready bangers, you’re girl knows her stuff. And if you catch me performing live, trust me—you won’t forget the name Livvy K.

This year is just getting started, and I’ve got a ton of new music, exciting visuals, and my very first music video for the EP on the way! With some performances already lined up and (hopefully) more support gigs in the works, the momentum is only building from here.

What have you got coming up that you’re most excited for?

My debut EP 'Finally Free, Finally Me' is OUT NOW!

After a year of hard work—and with the incredible support of Youth Music—I’ve created a project that reflects the last few years of my life. This EP is a deep dive into my experiences as a young woman in today’s world: new relationships, healing from the past, and embracing my true self through music. It’s a soundtrack for every emotion.

My exclusive listening party is being held tonight 20/02/25 here in Manchester City centre, with over 50 guests it will be a night filled with vibes, fun and an exclusive performance form myself! Stay tuned, and come along for the ride!

What’s the best run-in you’ve had with a fan?

November was a dream come true! I had the honor of opening for Morgan on her UK tour in Manchester, performing all the unreleased tracks from my EP alongside my debut singles, 'Too Much' and 'Catching Feelings'. It was a core memory moment—hearing people sing my songs back to me for the first time, meeting incredible new fans, and feeling the love in the room. Truly unforgettable.

Beyond the stage, the support I receive on social media has been unreal. Seeing comments, DMs, and messages from people who connect with my music means everything to me. My fans and my family are why I do this—so when they take the time to share their love, it makes all the hard work worth it.

What’s been your biggest ‘I’ve made it’ moment so far?

Being one of the Official Hosts of the Youth Music Awards 2024! That night was next level—I got to work alongside some of the best and biggest name in the industry, I got to show off my personality and journey as a NextGen Music artist, and even sneak in a little singing! And it was at this event that I met Morgan, which led to me becoming her support act. Definitely a pivotal moment in my journey so far! And the best part? This is just the beginning.

What are your three “desert island” albums?

Ooooooo can I have four? Hahaha…. 'Channel ORANGE' by Frank Ocean, 'The Life Of Pablo' by Kanye West (I miss the old Kanye ifykyk), I’ve been really vibing with Doechii’s album 'Alligator Bites Never Heal'. Oh and I can’t forget RAYE’s album 'My 21st Century Blues'…now that is a master piece!

Sum up your sound in three words.

VIBRANT, AUTHENTIC & CONTAGIOUS
