Intimate New Single From Eden Rain: ‘Who I’ve Touched’

London-based and Yorkshire-raised singer-songwriter, Eden Rain has released her first single of 2025, ‘Who I’ve Touched’.

Following a successful year of releases in 2024, including her third EP, ‘Anyway, How Are You?’, the rising artist has created an introspective soundtrack for anyone stuck in a cycle of seeking validation. Sharing her thoughts on release day via Instagram, Rain wrote “I hope if you’ve ever felt a bit lost in your own skin, [this song] finds you gently”.

The track opens with a lightly pulsating drone, the focus drawn to the singer's distinctive storytelling vocals. Immediately, Rain’s provocative lyricism refers to a derogatory term that was popularised by Ira Levin’s 1972 novel ‘The Stepford Wives’ describing a woman submissive and compliant to her husband’s needs: “In a different life I’m unaffected by those who don’t want me / I went to bed with a knife and came out like a Stepford wife”.

The lyrics dig into a buried bitterness and rage. ‘Who I’ve Touched’ is cleverly crafted to share her struggle in a patriarchal society that teaches an obsession with appearance: “teenage skin a home or wreckage / I let men decide the message”.

Co-written and produced by Jack Shuter (Shute), the song combines building synths with layered vocals full of sparkling harmonies. Sonically reminiscent of Lorde, Eden Rain’s new single tells the narrative of constantly finding your self-worth in the approval of others.

Who I’ve Touched’ explores difficult emotions with a sound that makes you want to dance under the moonlight. With lyrics that pack a punch, Eden Rain brings her ethereal vocals to Jack Shuter’s crafted production for an intimate and attention-grabbing new single.
