Luke Spiller Teams Up With Noel Fielding For New Video

Bristol born vocalist Luke Spiller has unveiled the new music video for his track 'The Ending Is Always The Same'.

It features comedian and actor Noel Fielding who has a history of appearing in iconic music videos, from Kasabian's 'Vlad The Impaler' to Mint Royale's 'Blue Song'.

The simplistic lyric video has Noel sitting central, similarly to a prop. He does very little which creates an effect only enhanced by the carnage taking place around him. Streamers are set off, smoke machines are used and a disco ball is even added into the sequence. However, Noel is clearly in control as when he flicks the tape recorder to start the track, the is also able to remove the colour, only bringing it back once the song has ended.

Whilst there is minimal action in the video itself, this effectively juxtaposes the powerful lyrics sung by an excellent voice. Luke garnered fame for being the front man of the Derby-based rock band The Struts. He's known for having a commanding presence and dynamic voice which easily captivates an audience. The influences of classic rock and seventies pop are seemingly carried through into his solo work as the build-up of strings in the chorus is reminiscent of impressive ABBA numbers.

There is still plenty to see from Luke Spiller as his debut solo album entitled 'Love Will Probably Kill Me Before Cigarettes And Wine' is due on 25th April. The ten-track record is still mostly a mystery with the only other track released so far being the title track.
